Earn your first Young Achievers Badge of the year at Winchester Science Centre!

Get your 2025 Young Achievers journey started with VICTA at Winchester Science Centre this March. Take part in a day filled with exciting science activities; start with a mesmerising Planetarium show then get stuck in with a sensory workshop about ‘Matter’, creating your own slime! “What’s the difference between solids, liquids and gases? Let’s find out together. Explore why they behave the way they do. Then let’s make some slime! As a non-Newtonian fluid, slime brings the properties of matter to life. See and feel them in action while having a lot of fun.”

Finish the day with a tactile tour of the centre and use the ‘Discovery Pens’ to explore the many intriguing exhibits on offer. As part of the day, primary school aged children with a vision impairment will also earn their VICTA Young Achievers Science badge in a day and kick-start their way to completing their 2025 medal. (Siblings will also earn a Super Siblings certificate and pin-badge for being, well… super!). Special personalised Braille certificates for the Young Achievers will follow soon after the activity.
