VICTA is ‘amped’ to be joining Moorvision to hit the waves on Crantock Beach with Big Green Surf School.

We need volunteers to join us on the day to act as 1:1 supervision for participants in the water. You will need to be physically fit and able to support a young person with a vision impairment surfing in the water for 2x two hour sessions.

Big Green is an award-winning, exclusive surf school and activity centre on the stunning Cornish coast.

As part of the day, you will receive:

  • 4 hours of surfing – 2 hour morning session and 2 hour afternoon session
  • All equipment provided

While all equipment needed to surf is provided, you will still need to have your own swimwear and bring a towel. You will also need to bring a packed lunch. Details of other things to consider as well as any other questions might be answered here: https://www.biggreensurfschool.com/faq

Moorvision offers information, advice, support, activities and shared experiences for families of children and young people with vision impairment (including those with additional needs) aged 0-25 years, and for parent/carers with vision impairment in Devon (including Plymouth and Torbay) and Cornwall. We also welcome families from Somerset and Dorset. You can find out more about Moorvision on their website: https://www.moorvision.org/
