Support blind or partially sighted young adults at Croft Farm Water Park as they learn the first steps of canoeing with British Canoeing.

VICTA is looking for four proactive volunteers to accompany a group of young adults as they earn their Paddle Start Awards. British Canoeing’s Paddle Awards are for those getting into a boat for the first time and help empower the paddler, enabling them to start their lifelong journey into paddlesports. It’s the perfect opportunity for volunteers with an interest in water sports!

Volunteers will be expected to support participants on the water, with guiding, accessing mealtimes and facilitating social opportunities. We will be staying locally in Tewkesbury, taking advantage of the local facilities the surrounding areas have to offer. To apply you must be a strong swimmer and be prepared to help students both in and out of the water. Please note, all required equipment will be provided.
