Para surfing is an adaptive version of surfing that allows individuals, including those with vision impairments, to experience the sport and enjoy the ocean.
It has evolved from a recreational activity to now include a competitive element, this provides an exciting opportunity for athletes of all abilities. For vision impaired surfers, para surfing offers a unique way to engage with the waves and challenge personal limits.
This online workshop is for parents of a VI child and young adults age 18 to 29 with a vision impairment. If you are interested in getting your child or yourself involved in para surfing, Surfing England will be discussing their 2025 para surfing roadshow and how to get involved.
