The race is on to apply for the VICTA Sports Family Weekend 2025!
Now in its second year, we have invited national governing bodies such as the FA, British Cycling, Goalball UK, Blind Cricket England & Wales and the British Baseball Federation to come and inspire your child on their journey into sport and physical activity.
We will also have VI athletes from a variety of different sports present to join sessions and answer your questions. At the 2024 VICTA Sports Weekend, families heard from the UK and world no. 1 tennis player Naqi Rizvi, former GB taekwondo athlete Helen Tran and VICTA Patron and 4x world champion para climber Abbie Robinson.
Hosted in the picturesque surrounds of PGL Caythorpe Court, the ensuite accommodation will ensure you have an enjoyable stay meeting lots of new and familiar families.
This weekend is perfect for those just looking to find something new and enjoyable to keep active as well as those more competitive individuals wanting to challenge themselves. For each sport your child enjoys this weekend, we will strive to provide you with all the information you need to continue participating when you go home.
Still not sure? This is what families had to say about the 2024 event:
“My son will be talking about it for a very long time. He has enjoyed what he has done and will want to come back. My daughter has enjoyed so much she will really will never forget and will keep on about coming back. Thank you so much as you all have made this possible.”
Parent, VICTA Sports Family Weekend 2024“As parents, our natural inclination is to protect and help but this weekend has been great to hear from others and how their parents pushing them has given them independence and confidence.”
Parent, VICTA Sports Family Weekend 2024“From speaking with other parents and creating connections to having the peace of mind of knowing that our child’s perception of their own limitations are being challenged in a safe and encouraging environment. We have grown this weekend and have had a doorway to the possible opened up.”

The minimum age for the activity groups is seven years old. Younger siblings are welcome and there will be a toy room and craft area available for you to amuse your younger ones. Please note that any younger siblings not taking part in activities must be supervised by an adult.
If you would like to apply for your family to attend, please complete the online application form below.
If you are offered a place on this Family Weekend, you will need to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit of your family’s place. The remaining balance will be due no later than six weeks before the activity. The contribution required is £85 per person, 0 to 5 years are free (if this is your first family weekend or if you refer a friend who joins us on the weekend and they are new to VICTA, you will receive a £25 ‘credit note’ after the weekend to be used towards the cost of your VI child’s place on another VICTA activity). Your contribution covers your family’s accommodation, all organised activities and three warm meals per day.
The actual cost to VICTA per person to attend a Family Weekend is approximately £250, so if you are in a position to pay more than the minimum required that would be greatly appreciated. More importantly, given the costs, it is really important that you inform us if you are unable to accept your place so that it can be offered to another family on the waiting list.
We are expected to be over-subscribed so please make sure you get your applications in before the closing date.
