Lollipop, lollipop eat me quick
So I can make a decoration from the stick!

Christine, age 16

Image description: Christine has stuck horizontal lollipop sticks to a vertical stick. The sticks get longer each time so they form the triangular shape of a tree. They are all different colours – green, red orange and blue. Christine has made a glittery dark red star and stuck it to the top. The decoration is hanging from a tree branch with fairy lights on it.

Emily Holder, age 13

What Emily told us about her decoration: “It is a decorated Christmas tree made from lolly sticks! I cut some lolly sticks to variable sizes and then cut the curved ends off and made them straight. The middle part of the tree is a vertical lolly stick which is painted brown like a tree trunk. Then there are green painted sticks for the branches going from big at the bottom to small at the top. The decorations on the branches are all brightly coloured and different textures, a gold 3d star at the top, some pom poms, yellow jewels, multicoloured shiny stars and leaves.”

Scott Sharp, age 7

What Scott told us about his decoration: “Scott’s colourful glittery Christmas triangle made all by himself.”

Image description: Scott has arranged three lollipop sticks in the shape of a triangle – two red and one green. He has decorated with shapes cut from foam stickers and added glitter, patterned tape and gems.

Tommy Sharp, age 4

What Tommy told us about his decoration: “Tommy’s wooden Christmas tree which took lots of sticking and gluing so Santa’s little elves could sit down on for a nice break :)”

Image description: Tommy has stuck lots of different coloured lollipop sticks together with glue and decorated with red and white stripy tape.
