Earn your Arts Award Discover

Arts Award Discover is a fantastic chance for you to gain an award and receive a certificate that you can keep in your record of achievement.

All you need to do is work through the step-by-step guide below. Be as creative as you want to be: draw pictures, use photos, braille or collage. You can also add additional pages if you want. Once you have completed the guide below, please send it to us by 31 August 2020 and we will be sure to share your hard work at the VICTA Summer Festival. And remember, the piece of art you submit will also be entered into the Craft Village prize draw with 3 x £50 Amazon vouchers up for grabs!

Part A – Discover

Part B – Find Out

Explore the work of an artist or space and find interesting objects and features

Describe or draw the object or feature that you found. You could add words to your drawing to say what you feel or think about it.

What material(s) is it made of?
When was it made?
Where was it made?
What did you find out about the craftspeople or the maker(s) of this object or feature?

Part C – Share

Apply for your Arts Award Discovery Award by emailing festival@victa.org.uk including the following information:

Please send us Part A and B along with two photos:

1. A photo/video of you taking part in your chosen arts activity
2. A photo/video of your finished artwork
3. What did you enjoy the most about the arts award experience?
4. Once we have received all the above, we will in touch with information regarding your Arts Award Discover qualification. T&Cs

Competition Terms and Conditions

Closing date for entries is 31 August 2020
The competition is for children and young adults aged 0 to 29 years who have a vision impairment
The competition is only open to residents of the United Kingdom
Winners will be selected at random from all of the entries
By entering the competition you agree to you/your child’s name and competition entry being used on the VICTA website and social media, as well as any photos you have sent as part of your entry.
