RSPB Wildlife Activities & Surveys

Wildlife Activities

Summer holidays are a great opportunity to explore the outdoors as a family and get involved with nature. But remember, there are plenty of ways to get involved and help local wildlife from your back garden…

Perhaps you could build a bird bath? Make a hedgehog café? Or even build a minibeast hotel? Send us a photo of your wildlife conservation creation and you could earn yourself a prize! We will also display all entries in a gallery throughout the festival weekend.

Struggling for ideas? The RSPB website is a good place to start for inspiration: https://www.rspb.org.uk/fun-and-learning/for-families/family-wild-challenge/activities/

Surveys

The RSPB are asking the general public to take part in different wildlife surveys. Lots of bees and butterflies in your area? They want to hear from you! Find out how here: https://www.rspb.org.uk/fun-and-learning/for-families/family-wild-challenge/activities/do-a-wildlife-survey/

Our competitions have now closed, make sure you join us back here on our Summer Festival Weekend (5 to 6 September) as we share a host of talent and announce the winners!
