Baked Cheesy Chilli Dip
Serves 8-10
A people pleasing tasty sharing meal. When with friends we tend to pick at food, sip at drinks and talk. Here’s a meal that you might not want to share.
What do I need?
200g full fat soft cheese
150ml sour cream
75g mayonnaise full fat
175g mature cheddar grated
100 mozzarella grated or pulled apart
50 g parmesan finely grated
1 ½ tsp 7g of Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp chives
15 -20 g pickled jalapeno chilli (optional)
Equipment
Shallow baking dish – pyrex
Measuring scales
Spoon
Grater
Autochop or knife and chopping board
Scissors
Serving plate
Method
Weigh out all the ingredients and add to the pyrex dish.
Snip the chives with scissors into small pieces.
Mix all and make sure the mixture is no deeper than 1cm deep.
Bake in oven 180C gas mark 6 for 20 -25 minutes.
Serve.
What can I dip into Cheesy Chilli Dip?
Crudities –carrots, celery, courgette or even raw cauliflower cut into long sticks to dip
Tortilla chips – are you cool or fiery hot?
Cheese twists or cream crackers
Bread sticks or pieces of bread
Sausages
Top tips
Don’t overheat or it may curdle.
Leave to cool for 5 minutes you don’t want to burn your tongue.
Try some different types of cheeses in this such as traditional fondue cheese gruyere.
Prepare grated cheese is covered in starch therefore it might be a thicker mix than when you grate the cheese yourself.
