Supporting pre-teens aged 10 to 13 years through VICTA activities and grants
We appreciate that growing up with sight loss can bring practical, emotional and social challenges. Our pre-teen activities are designed to provide hands-on learning in fun, safe and supportive environments.
From educational and creative workshops to outdoor pursuits, the focus is on strengthening verbal communications and social skills that support independence, build self-esteem and increase confidence. And perhaps more importantly, it is an opportunity to meet existing friends or make new ones. It is a great way for younger children to explore the world and start to discover and develop their true capabilities. It is also a great way for pre-teens to get a taste of independence before joining one of our 14-17 activities.
